    • User Inputs: We temporarily process text inputs you explicitly provide in the extension interface, such as your key skills, portfolio highlights, and tone preferences.
    • Page Data: When you click "Read Job & Generate Proposal," our content script extracts public job post data (job title, job description, budget, and client information) from the active Upwork tab to generate custom cover letters.
    • Local Storage Data: We use Chrome's chrome.storage.local API to save your skills/portfolio details locally on your browser for your convenience, as well as an anonymous generation counter to manage your free trial limits.
    • Payment Information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not process, collect, or store your credit card details or financial information.

    3. How We Use Your Information

    We use the collected job details and user preferences strictly to send a request to our secure API backend (powered by Cloudflare Workers and OpenAI) to draft tailored cover letters.

    4. Data Sharing & Third-Party Services

    We do not sell, rent, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties. We interact with the following trusted third-party service providers:

    • OpenAI (via Cloudflare Worker Proxy): Job details and user inputs are sent securely via an encrypted proxy worker to OpenAI’s API solely for AI generation. OpenAI does not use data submitted via its API to train its models.
    • Stripe: Handles subscription billing and management via encrypted payment pages.

    5. Data Retention & Security

    We do not store your extracted job details or generated cover letters on remote servers or databases. All personal settings (skills and trial usage counts) remain stored exclusively inside your local browser.

    6. User Rights & Data Removal

    You can remove all locally stored data at any time by clearing your Chrome extension storage or uninstalling the extension from your browser.
